Ribera del Duero & Rioja
Given its long history of quality production, it is no surprise that RIOJA was the first region designated as a DO (in 1925) as well as the first region to be elevated to DOCa status (in 1991). The region produces about one-sixth of Spain’s DO-level wine.
Another star of the Spanish wine industry is RIBERA DEL DUERO, which is on par with Rioja for the quality of its red wines. Ribera del Duero must be at least 75% Tempranillo, known here as Tinta del País or Tinto Fino.
I've selected six wines from each of these amazing regions for you to taste and evaluate.
TRUST ME, tonight's wines are going to rock your little wine world. ~David~
