WHITE Burgundy, Rose & Pinot Noir
A friend once told me - David, if you’re not doing what you love, then you're not living life. He went on further to say - life is too short to drink wine that sucks! I happen to agree with him and will clearly convey those very same words, right here, right now, to YOU!
While I may not be able to do anything at all about the first matter, it's the latter that I most certainly can assist you with because friends, the wines I've selected for you tonight definitely DO NOT SUCK!
It's been HOT for many, many weeks now and there is nothing better in this world to quench your thirst than WHITE BURGUNDY. From the Val de Mer Chablis Grand Cru to Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet - these wines are simply some of the best expressions of White Burgundy you will ever put in your mouth, period. (just one period).
As for the Rose flight, I have three words for you: Provence, Bandol, Marsannay - I think I've said enough about Rose.
Pinot Noir? That's a newly discovered grape varietal that's so easy to grow - everyone's doing it and doing it well. Come and enjoy the gracious offerings from Patagonia in Argentina, Russian River, Willamette Valley in Oregon and a few from the Sonoma Coast. IF, and only IF, you show up - perhaps I can open a bottle from one the newest wine regions in the world to attempt growing Pinot Noir - Burgundy France.
Yes, it's a lot to digest, I know, but I'm here to help guide you through the evening and the amazing wines I've selected for you. See you tonight! ~David~
