What do Bordeaux and the Rhone have in Common? Well, there both in France....(Duh) But what about the grapes and the style of wines they produce? Now that's a great question. They are exactly the same. Yup, no difference what so ever.
Now I know that sounds crazy right, I mean, BORDEAUX wines are comprised of Cabernet, Merlot, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec, while the wines of the Rhone are predominately GSM's - Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, with a few other grape varietals as well, and those are just the red wines. So how do they taste exactly the same?
