Gevrey-Chambertin, Volnay & Puligny-Montrachet
Burgundy like "Never Before", isn't that a stretch David?
Maybe, maybe not. In this day of fake news and alternative facts, one never really knows, do they?
I WILL TELL YOU THIS:
The first flight is a delicious line-up of Puligny-Montrachet (yes, I'm doing a white flight) with vintages ranging from 2013 - 2016, and look at these producers: GIRARDIN, PRUNIER, CHAVY and LATOUR. Perhaps some of the most respected producers of White Burgundy in the Cote de Beaune. But you know what, DON'T BELIEVE ME, come in and taste the wines. That's why I put this line-up together, for YOU.
VOLNAY - FIVE Wines, FIVE Vintages, FIVE Producers. By the end of this flight, you're going to "UNDERSTAND" what this fantastic Village of Volnay is, and why it's renowned for making some of the smoothest, most delicate Pinot Noirs of the southern Côte d'Or.
GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN, is from The Cote de Nuits, which is the northern half of the Cote d'Or. Roughly 95% of all wine produced in the Cote de Nuits comes from a single variety - Pinot Noir.
I'll be redundant here because it's worthy. FIVE Wines, FIVE Vintages, FIVE Producers. Do you get the picture? I'm providing you with an opportunity to sink your teeth into something spectacular, and my only hope is that you take advantage of it.
SO, in short, yes, Yes and YES!! This is Burgundy like "NEVER BEFORE" (at least for this year).
I'll see you on Tuesday, 6-10PM, ~DAVID~
