Burgundy PART TWO: Cote de Beaune

Date/Time: February 28th, 2017 06:00 PM
Ending Date/Time: February 28th, 2017 09:00 PM

Last week we focused on the Northern part of the Cote d'Or - The Côte de Nuits, this week we'll focus on the South, The Côte de Beaune. It's known as a white wine region because seven of it's eight grand crus produce only white wine, however a bit over half of its production is actually red wine. We'll be pouring BOTH RED & WHITE wines tonight. The superb quality of Chardonnays has earned the Côte de Beaune its reputation and you're going to find out why tonight. The primary communes of the Côte de Beaune are Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Chassagne-Montrachet. Who knows, maybe we'll get to a grand cru like Corton, Charlemagne, Corton-Charlemagne, and Montrachet. You won't know unless you show up. See you on Tuesday! ~David~
